sco_ipc_v1.create

Creates (or, if the peer still holds it, re-opens) Local\SCO_<plugin id>.<name> with bytes bytes and lays out the sc_ipc_hdr with the bridge’s layout_id / layout_version and a new epoch (rings must be laid out again). SCO_BAD_ARG: a bad name or size, or a channel of that name already open. SCO_TOO_MANY: the channel or byte quota is full. SCO_FAILED: the OS refused, or an existing mapping of that name is smaller or another user’s. New Windows mappings receive a current-user-only DACL; reuse checks ownership and size, not the existing DACL, so access by other accounts is not excluded on reuse.

Absent table: query_service NOT_FOUND

Host owns mapping/channel; data copied via host staging buffers. No allocation transfer except borrowed view, never free it.

Any thread; per-channel lock during copy. Recursive reentrancy unspecified.

No in-flight cancellation; close/ordinary unload/non-retained crash cleanup marks closed and unmaps channels. Retained-provider faults skip owner resource-release hooks and require restart; backing resources remain retained, not safe for cached calls.

Status labels are copied verbatim from the catalogue: direct is native access; typed-wrapper is wrapper-backed; restricted is a subset/adaptation; unsupported means no supported route is established. No status implies universal safety.
