sco_datacore_v1.commit
Before the load: queues the patch for it (reports SCO_DC_QUEUED). After it: saves the patch as data/datacore/pending/<plugin id>.toml (written to a temporary file, then renamed over the old one) and reports SCO_DC_QUEUED “applies at the next launch”; an empty patch clears the saved one. No more operations on it either way. SCO_BAD_ARG: already committed. SCO_FAILED: the file couldn’t be written (the patch stays open; commit again).

Results and failures
Section titled “Results and failures”Absent table: query_service NOT_FOUND; stopped operations: UNAVAILABLE. Unknown/released patch: NOT_FOUND; closed patch: BAD_ARG; operation cap: TOO_MANY. Additional failures/output state unspecified unless described in the buffer contract.
Absent capability
Section titled “Absent capability”Absent table: query_service NOT_FOUND
Ownership
Section titled “Ownership”Strings/values copied; host owns patches and instances; IDs, not allocations, cross the ABI. Internal allocation/failure guarantee unspecified.
Thread affinity
Section titled “Thread affinity”Any thread; short locks, no wait for game load. Recursive/concurrent same-patch reentrancy unspecified.
Callback context
Section titled “Callback context”unspecified
Reentrancy
Section titled “Reentrancy”unspecified
Cleanup and cancellation
Section titled “Cleanup and cancellation”No in-flight cancellation; discard drops open/queued patch, not applied or saved effects. Unload forgets owned patches.
Language mappings
Section titled “Language mappings”Status labels are copied verbatim from the catalogue: direct is native access; typed-wrapper is wrapper-backed; restricted is a subset/adaptation; unsupported means no supported route is established. No status implies universal safety.
| Language | Catalogue status | Source evidence / wrapper tokens |
|---|---|---|
| c | direct | include/sco_datacore.h(*commit) |
| cpp | typed-wrapper | include/scosdk/datacore.hppconst sco_result r = t_->commit(id_); |
